Marines blast Kerry in a Wendys restaurant
07.31.04 (5:29 pm)   [edit]
http://www.nypost.com/news/na...

"The Marines — two in uniform and two off-duty — were polite but curt while chatting with Kerry, answering most of his questions with a "yes, sir" or "no, sir."

But they turned downright nasty after the Massachusetts senator thanked them "for their service" and left.

"He imposed on us and I disagree with him coming over here shaking our hands," one Marine said, adding, "I'm 100 percent against [him]."

A sergeant with 10 years of service under his belt said, "I speak for all of us. We think that we are doing the right thing in Iraq," before saying he is to be deployed there in a few weeks and is "eager" to go and serve.

The Marines — all of whom serve at nearby Stewart Air Force Base — wouldn't give their names. "

Kerry goes around touting his military service when he is considered a traitor by the armed forces. This, democrats, is your Presidential candidate.

You liberals and democrats are full of hate
07.31.04 (12:05 pm)   [edit]
You people amaze me. Are you completely unable to act in a rational way? The messages I get are completely absurd!

You all have horrible vocabs, lives that are full of hate and there isn't one of you who wants Kerry to win on merit. It is all about Bush out of office. Isn't it sad to be the losers that you are.

Obviously, this is directed at some and not others. I have actually met some pretty decent, well meaning liberals in my life...not many that read these blogs though.

You people won't stop me from speaking. You liberals communists won't stop me from telling the truth. You liberals won't be in power as hate never wins.

Good morning everyone!
07.31.04 (3:52 am)   [edit]
THis morning, my wife and I are moving. I hate moving. What a disaster it always is. At least we have great friends and family who are willing to help us load and unload all of the furniture, boxes, etc..

The blog this morning won't be about politics, it will be about ethical business behavior. The reason we are moving out of our downtown loft is because of our unethical landlord. When we started looking for a space, we knew that we would be having a child in the near future. We didn't know how soon, but we knew that was in the plans.

The space we lived in before was 1288 square feet. We were crowded in that with just two of us so we knew we needed more. We came across this space and when I spoke with the landlord, I told her our concerns and what we were looking for. She assured me, verbally and in writing, that the space was 1500 square feet. This is what the lease says.

We had our baby girl 2 months ago. We are amazingly crowded. I had an appraisal done a week ago which showed that the space is only 965 square feet!!! No freaking wonder we felt cramped. We've been here for 8 months and she has knowingly and willingly overcharged us. She falsified a document (the lease) just to get us into the space.

So, we are moving out. Our attorney will be dealing with her as she is fighting it. She is saying that the space is still in our name and that we can't get out of the lease. She even told me to take the for lease sign out of the window because she was receiving calls. I guess she doesn't need the rent money that bad afterall.

All of this to say one thing. Handle your business dealings with class, dignity and as ethically as you can. This lady, hopefully, will find out what happens when you lie to get what you want in business. Hopefully it won't cost my wife and I much. Anyway, sorry about the long story/rant. This is moving day and I hate moving.

STOP THE MADNESS!!!
07.30.04 (6:59 pm)   [edit]
I hate to make my faith political, but sometimes it's almost impossible not to. After listening to Democrats jabber and talk about God during the Democratic National Convention I almost lost it.

This is the party who:

-- believes God overlooks abortion
-- believes that the bible and God say nothing against homosexual behavior
-- has a candidate and party that believes you can have two different lives..a political life and a spiritual life (sorry guys, it all works together)
-- wants God taken out of every equation. If you believe in God, why would you not want to look to him to help make decisions for the nation?
-- believes that God and Jesus actually want you to be forced to give to the government. Jesus said if you teach someone to fish they will eat forever. You don't give it to them all the time without them giving some sort of effort.

I just cringe when I hear politicians, who believe the above points, talk about their "walk with God". How can you truly be walking with God when all of your actions are contrary to his teachings?

Post Convention bounces in the polls
07.30.04 (6:22 pm)   [edit]
Normally a candidate coming out of a convention gets a huge bump in the polls. Zogby has Kerry leading by only 4 or 5 points after their convention. Not very good news for our long faced friend from the east coast. You have to know that, behind the scenes, the democratic punks are just scared out of their minds. How can this be happening to them again? How can they have such a boring and worthless candidate again?

Bush and the Repubs are going to be having their convention last. That momentum will be too much for the Democrats. Everything right now is working in the Republicans favor...the economy, the war on terror, Iraq, things are going very well. That is bad news for long face Kerry.

Ah haaa...Bush's fight against terrorism is working Democrats...
07.30.04 (5:21 pm)   [edit]
http://www.worldnetdaily.com/...

Hmmm... would this have been stopped under a Liberal President? No, it wouldn't have. You see, liberals are against fighting terrorists until they have hit us in a strike first. Once they hit us, then it's ok. Thank goodness we have Bush in the White House and not Kerry/Gore/Hilary Clinton, etc.. I'm not really into asking the French what we should do to protect our homeland.

Abortions are for those who are lazy...
07.30.04 (3:02 pm)   [edit]
Ok, maybe that is pushing it a little, but not much. As a Christian, how could one be in favor of this? How can anyone who has had children be in favor of this? We recently had our first child and the moment we had our first ultrasound, we both knew that there was something living inside her. How could we, at that point, make a decision to kill or terminate that babies existence?

Those I've known who have had abortions have done it for the following reasons:

-- they said that they were too young
-- too immature
-- not financially stable enough
-- didn't love the father
-- did it because it was the inexpensive way to go
-- didn't want a boy
-- etc..

Anyone who has an abortion for any reason other than it was threatening the mothers life, is lazy and should be ashamed of themselves. Chances are, if they did have one, they are ashamed. I'm not meaning to sound mean, rude or insensitive. It's just that I look at my little girl and am upset at those who would end a life like that.

On the other hand, I am completely consistent with this. I am totally against the death penalty. I haven't always been, but I saw the hypocracy in being for one and not the other.

Someone once asked me that if I'm for life, how can I be ok with our country when we go to war and have to take lives. That's a tough question. I base most of these beliefs on my Christian beliefs. God went to war or had his people go to war for the right reasons. He went to get rid of tyrants and kings that were against him. He sent his people to war when it was in their best interests. I don't believe in war just for war. If it has a meaning and there is a real reason, I'm for it.

My election prediction
07.30.04 (11:29 am)   [edit]
Some may say it's too early. I say that's a bunch of crap. I really see no way that Kerry gets within 8-10 percentage points of Bush on the popular vote. Bush will also have more than 315 electoral votes when all is said and done.

Nothing that Kerry and the DNC has done has matter a hill of beans. This is a floundering campaign and after the RNC, this race will be over. :!:

Does anyone actually like Kerry, or do Democrats just hate Bush?
07.30.04 (7:18 am)   [edit]
I don't know if I've heard anyone actually say that they like Kerry and think he will do good things. Well, I take that back, I've heard it, but it's all just been lip service. No one will ever go into detail about why they think he will be good or what exactly he will do. It all ends up coming down to "Bush sucks" or "anyone is better than Bush", etc..

Has the Democratic party really fallen that far? You can never win the overall fight, if your whole fight is based on hate and fear. I sure would like for someone to tell me exactly what Kerry is going to do on the issues that liberals say are issues. I'm not quite sure anyone can really tell me something substantial.

Kerry the toy soldier

Aren't the Democrats something else? For decades, they have been the party that has belittled the military. They have been the anti-war protestors (Vietnam) who spat on soldiers. They are the ones who made it "cool" in society to leave the country and burn the American flag while getting out of duty (Clinton). While Clinton was in office, military service didn't matter. Even our very own toy soldier, John Kerry, wrote in an op-ed that Clinton shouldn't be judged by what he did in the past in regards to the military. Military service shouldn't be a factor he said. Now what are Democrats doing? They finally have a candidate who served and they are touting it as a great thing. What gives? Pretty bad if you ask for my opinion and since mine is the one that really counts, that is how it is.

Democratic sleepers

When is the last time the Democrats nominated someone (besides Clinton) who had a personality? It was JFK. Like Clinton, JFK was a seemingly nice guy and all but a horrid President. Look at the democratic nominees over the last couple of decades. Wow, at least Bob Dole had a sense of humor. Kerry, Gore, Dukakis (spelling?), Mondale, Carter, the list goes on and on. One this is certain, when it comes to Democrats, be ready for the same old boring stuff.

Kerry was a shrimp boat captain

Ok, well not really. Why is it that only two of the 23 Swift boat veterans that served with Kerry are endorsing him? Here is a cool website put together by these Swiftboaters

http://www.swiftvets.com/index.php?topic=SwiftPhoto" title="http://www.swiftvets.com/index.php?topic=SwiftPhoto" target="_blank"http://www.swiftvets.com/inde...

Makes you wonder, once again...

John Kerry's NASA picture problem

So, John Kerry's camp said that NASA leaked out pictures of F Kerry in that stupid looking blue plastic suit huh? Turns out, Kerry's camp requested that the pictures be taken and that they be processed quickly. I guess they didn't realize how stupid John Kerry would actually look in that thing.

Ricky Williams failed 3rd drug test

I have to say, that as a Texas Longhorn fan, I feel let down. Shoot, this is a free country and the man has the right to stop doing something he doesn't want to do. I just wish he would have quit for the right reasons and not because he has a hard time putting down the bong. I used to think that Ricky, back in college, was a pretty decent role model. What is it that Barkley said in the Nike commericals? "I am not a role model". Sir Charles knows of what he speaks...

Irons that put rust on your clothes

I freaking hate this. I was trying to iron a shirt tonight and put water in the iron to get steam. This iron hadn't been used in quite a while and all of a sudden, the shirt and pants had rust on them. This could send me to an institution if it happens again.

One last thing...

I'm sorry, but Democratic women (those in the party, not those of you normal people) are not very attractive. What is up with that? For the longest time, conservative women where thought to be uptight, no fun and down right ugly. When did that change? It's completely amazing to me. Of course, I really don't care since I'm married, but hey, you notice these things when you have a convention as boring as the DNC's 2004 Boston Convention.

Welcome to my blog. Honestly, I don't know how most blogs read because, you see, I normally don't really care about other "know it all's" opinions. The only "know it all" I care about is myself 8)

This blog will normally read differently each day probably. Somedays I may spend a short amount of time on many different topics and other times I will focus on one thing in particular. I just depends on my mood, what is going on and what is worth talking about.

I will let you know that I am Conservative Republican. This doesn't mean I agree with everything that Republicans do and it doesn't mean that I will disagree with everything that Democrats do. I will be an equal opportunity basher when it is called for. That being said, I can pretty much promise you that most of the time, I will say nothing good about Democrats and liberals. I'm sure that most are very nice personally, but this isn't personal. This is politics. Since it is politics, it's also business and life. I will never agree with the liberal/socialist/marxist /communist point of view. I will never agree that you should steal from the rich to give to the government. I will never agree that spending solves all ills. I will never agree that racism of any kind is a good thing. Anyway, I'm boring myself here...

That's all for now. I plan on getting back online later and talking about topics and national news later on.
