Why Democrats continue to lose.

"I will spend the next month leading a vigorous effort to ensure that when the DNC elects its new leader, it selects someone who stands forthrightly for a woman's right to choose," Michelman said

"I will also urge DNC members to make an unequivocal statement that choice is both a fundamental value of the Democratic Party and an essential component of our winning message."

"Massachusetts Democratic Party Chairman Phil Johnston said Tuesday in a written statement, "It would be extremely foolish if the DNC were to be led by a chair who agrees with the Bush administration's position on abortion."

They just don't get it.  They don't understand that this is not an issue that they can win with anymore.  This hasn't been a winning issue for them for some time but the Democrats are failing to realize it.  The majority of Americans don't believe that abortion is a good thing.  As long as they continue pushing this as a litmus test for their candidates, they will lose.

I also think that his statement regarding the fact that the Republicans have a big tent is very revealing...how much do you want to bet that Democratic party leaders cringed when they heard that comment.  There is no way in hades that this guy gets the nomination.

Wouldn't it be great if "Christians" took Jesus' command to love your enemies seriously?
So much hate!
I am embarrassed by you.
I am praying that you will read about the Fruit of the Spirit and be converted.
I am praying for you my brother.

Huh? Did you even read the blog? Where did I convey hate at all in that?

I think Dems continue to lose because of their dishonesty. I heard yesterday on NPR how Kerry blasted Rice about how troops are being killed needlessly during missions that aren't making Iraq better. If he had the balls to say that during the election, he MAY have gotten a few more votes. Might not have won, but he would have been honest.
I voted for neither of the two liars (Bush about WMD's and other stuff, Kerry for his flipflop-YES IT WAS!- on the war.

Longshot, I always respect your opinions even when I don't agree. But, to say that bush was dishonest about WMD is being dishonest in itself. Like I have said a hundred times before, if he was dishonest about this, so was every member of congress, the EU, the UN and most of the world. Everyone thought he had WMD and the capabilities to produce them.
